The Mind Watkins House is a novel historic property situated near the central business district of Tauranga metropolis. Inbuilt 1881 by Joseph Mind, it’s registered by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust as a Category II Historic Place. Occupied by one family for almost 100 years and crammed with unique contents, the house presents an insight into the lifetime of a center class European household of the late nineteenth and early 20th centuries. It has many tales to tell, from the horse given shelter in the hall throughout the Tarawera eruption to the young couple separated by the First World War reunited and married in their 70s. It is a good lens on slugs but I’m wondering what variety you have got. In Australia we’ve what are called leopard slugs and so they eat snails. There’s a smaller white or black slug that loves lettuce and things and makes a real mess of things. Not too long ago it has been found that snails carry the Pig Liver Worm which will get into the human and into the mind by way of lettuce that is contaminated after they crawl over it. Two youngsters have been contaminated last year and one died. They lived shut to one another in separate streets of the same suburb. Now I do not eat lettuce at all. Never had slugs in the home but but they do get onto the Patio the place I sometimes walk on them accidentally, Enjoyed this lens. Properly completed.
